There are some people out there who want to deny GWB his Texas heritage.

I was reading some viewer comment threads on imdb.com about the new movie, 'Master and Commander.'

One thread degenerated into a Hate-Bush hread, and one poster insisted GWB wasn't a Texan and never would be.

FYI - President Bush was born in Connecticut into a true blue New England Yankee family.

His father was born in Massachusetts and his grandfather was a Senator from Connecticut. When it came time to get educated, he went Ivy League New England just like his dad before him.

His familial heritage is New Englander not Texan.
