I am sending you so many heartfelt prayers. My college roommate had the disorder you're speaking of and she was simply an amazing person. An inspiration. I wish you could meet her because her strength alone would give you such peace of mind but regardless, know that you are not alone and that you and your families are in my prayers that he makes a full recovery.

I"m so afraid. He's an only child, and homeschooled; his whole world, his hobbies, his toys, his dreams, require sight. He has an amazing collection of complex transforming toys. He loves cartoons more than anyone I ever met, and is "into" animation. He builds things. He draws. He loves video games...
Is he going to lose every one of the diversions he lives for?
I wish God would save my child from blindness.
