Would have done the trick? If that's the case, why are homosexuals still spreading AIDS through bathhouses, "gay" bars, wild parties, unprotected sex with multiple partners, etc. They seem to have a death wish....

Well, first of all, public health authorities still have not taken the most basic measures that are taken in most every epidemic: mandatory testing, reporting, and contact tracing. And they have not closed the bathhouses in most cities, San Francisco being the exception.

But more to the point, the number of new AIDS cases has been declining for some time now. Most sodomites have changed their behavior, taking more precautions , though some do continue to engage in unprotected sodomy with multiple partners. The success of the new antiviral treatments at postponing the onset of AIDS after an HIV infection has made some of them take a cavalier attitude toward prevention.

That's right. And in some radical gay circles, author Randy Shilts is vilified for having told the truth. But a funny thing happened to And The Band Played On on the way to television: Shilts, who admitted years hence he had contracted AIDS himself, made certain that gays' own part in the initial spread of AIDS was downplayed, saying that his goal in allowing a miniseries based on the book was to reduce homophobia, not increase it.

I think the only reason Jason got pulled into this is his mother's fault. She's stupid for blaming Reagan --- Clinton said he'd find a cure for AIDS and didn't do anything about it.

Actually, when Clinton was governor of Arkansas, the Arkansas prisons were selling inmate blood, some of it HIV infected, to Canadians for transfusion.

There is some evidence that Clinton knew of the risky blood, and let it be sold anyway. The possibility exists, and some assert it is true, that Clinton benefitted financially from the blood sales.

As I understand it, there were (and possible still are) lawsuits over people in Canada who died from HIV infected blood sold by the Arkansas state prisons.

That's true --- but of course that doesn't matter to Streisand. She's sickening --- and for the sake of her son, you'd think she wouldn't try to twist his illness for her political agenda --- I don't think she does love her son at all --- he's just a prop for her liberal views.

A good question. The full answer would require hundreds of pages.

What exists is a large liberal group who needs to blame the problems they create on other people.

Reagan was the last gasp of a though generation that forbid blaming the problems you created for yourself upon others, on the philosophy of, "You laid it. You hatch it."' It infuriates members of a generation and a generational subculture that wants its way and is still attempting to prove it is/was right about everything.

There is a class of people with negatively polarized personalities who's entire life is their hatred. They have nothing else. They need a target for that hatred in order to keep their personalities from collapsing. Reagan continues to be that target as he symbolizes everything they are dependent on hating.
