I'm saying Christ is the Master Healer.

Of course he is. Nobody said He wasn't. What I, and others here, are saying, in effect, is that healing by Christ and healing by medicine aren't mutually exclusive. Christ often uses others to work His will. Besides, if a physician helps or heals other people, it could be just as beneficial and spiritually healing to the physician as to the patient. For example, take the doctor who most likely oversaw Rush's treatment program. Rush might be his patient, but the doctor himself might be the patient of the Great Physician at the very same time. In other words, God uses the doctor to heal the patient, but he also might use the patient to heal the doctor.

No doctor can heal like Christ can. That's not to devalue doctors, but we have come to rely on too many other things besides God and we will continue to pay the high price we are paying until we change.

As to the idea that nobody said Christ wasn't the Master Healer, all of psychiatry and psychology are founded on that assumption. You take a pill instead of repenting. You tell your therapist your problems so he can assuage your guilt. Of course they are saying that. That's my point. Christ has been thrown away in favor of pills that will never heal anybody.
