I mind.

Well, I mind too! I should have made clear that this statement meant the "politicos", those who believe they have power over "we the people".

It seems that politicians (or very few of them) really know that the people have the power. I dont mind paying taxes for homeland security. I dont mind paying social security taxes either, but "We the People" should not be FORCED to pay anything else.

My point was, we can gripe about homeland security and it's costs, but few of us will stand up to all the "special interests" that our tax dollars go to!

Homeland security, whether or not the bugs are yet worked out, is a good investment of our tax dollars, if we want to gripe about something, gripe about welfare for able-bodied people, gripe about the sad state that education is in, gripe about tax dollars to "the arts" (Christ in urine), there are too many taxes to be outraged about - Homeland Security IS NOT one of them!

. I dont mind paying social security taxes either,

I'm in my 20's and I am paying more in Social Security than I do in rent. SS has about 20 trillion in unfunded liabilities. Americans own about 40 trillion in household wealth. If we were to honor the outstanding obligations of SS today, half of everything Americans own would be confiscated.

there are too many taxes to be outraged about - Homeland Security IS NOT one of them!

The constant financial monitoring under BSA is a warrantless search of my papers. This is intolerable violation of my natural rights.
