I know, my father was an M.D. and he smoked, though he finally quit later.

But do they smoke while at work, I wonder? (I know they did back in the olden days!)

My husband doesn't permit smoking in his offices, but one doctor (associate) goes outside in a patio to smoke.

Husband has told me that two of the hospitals where he has privileges still provide a smoking room or area for employees, which, presumably include nurses.
