This is just like their "need" for a liberal television network.

Thats right, we need a religious left to tell us that baby killing is OK, that we need to overlook Clinton's rape of Ms Broderick, and that God never really meant what He said in the Bible about gays.
Will a religious left really counter the rights influence? No. The right will just become emboldened. Competition always make a product better.
Besides, most libs I know despise God so much, that they will never darken the doors of a church. I'm guessing that this will serve primarily as a fund raising venue for the rats, and will hold little real influence.

"There's been a concerted effort by Christian conservatives to question the faith of people who disagree with their positions"
I don't think they question your faith; they just label you an atheist if you disagree with them.

I don't think that is true. just being labeled a LIBERAL is bad enough.I never heard a Conservative on TV question another's faith.

a coalition of moderate and liberal religious leaders Ever notice how "moderates" always get lumped in with "liberals"? That tells you something about moderates. At least in this case, they are actually liberals with even less conviction, if that's possible.

It includes prominent figures like the Rev. William Sloane Coffin, who was a leader in the Civil Rights movement and the anti-Vietnam War movement, and the Rev. Joan Brown Campbell, former general secretary of the National Council of Churches. Both committed communists. Don't get me started.

In an effort to counter the influence of conservative Christian organizations, a coalition of moderate and liberal religious leaders.... LOL, a pro-gay acativist 'moderate' clergy group. I just love how the left defines the term 'moderate'.
To: Pharmboy
But the driving purpose of the organization, according to its mission statement, is to bring about "sweeping changes changes in our nation's political leadership and changes in failing public policies." If they can't get into politics and remain tax-exempt, how is it that they can have politics as part of their mission statement?

With a Democrat consultant on their board and their building across the street from the DNC, I'm sure you can believe these lying Liberals that they are "non-partisan". As soon as the last blue-haired little old lady in these dying churches kicks off, they'll be in deep doo-doo, so they need to find other sources of income in the future. It's always about the money...

One-world religion bump. The pieces just keep falling into place...It's all one big plan. Ever wondered about a few things? Does accepting evolution makes the Bible & God liars? Does abortion and euthanasia cheapen the value of human life? Does socialism and a liberal view that we have a "living" Constitution reduce it to mere words destined for the ash heap of history? Ever wonder why so many fight to rewrite history, and eradicate the explorers and men that built nations, to dishonour their memories?

Does socialism and a liberal view that we have a "living" Constitution reduce it to mere words destined for the ash heap of history?Yep. They also want us to accept their version of a "living" Bible, so it can be revised as we "evolve " - not!
