In World War I, Great Britain is the one who defeated Turkey in the Arab region and the Arabs lead by Sheriff Mecca (grand, grand father of Abdullah king of Jordan) were just a little help, nothing more than that. Thus you cannot attribute this as an Arab victory in WW I.

They think if they kill few hundred of our troops we will leave running like what we did in 1983 in Beirut.

All we need is a Democrat victory for this to go from delusion to reality.

Thank you and you are absolutely correct. The Arab must separate Islam from the State in order to change. it is a very hard task but the Turks were able to do something like that after WW I lead by a secularist called Mustafa Kamel (AttaTurk).

The Arabs haven't won a war against an outside invader since the Mongols.

Islam also isn't a religion that allows much for individuality or free-thought, two elements to build the kind of self-esteem for real leadership or a willingness to fight for oneself.

Also, their unrealistic, self-centered vision of "Paradise" the extreme cults within Islam obsess on don't lend themselves for an ability to really fight for survivial.

There's more, but whatever, these guys are losers until they wise up that what they believe kinda holds 'em back.

The spelling and grammar errors are evidence of a non-native English speaker. If his writing was error free we his story of having lived in Lebanon would appear less authentic.

Your post was very good, and enlightening. Thank you for sharing it with us. I don't care about the occasional spelling error or grammatical mistake - nobody is perfect.

I won't worry about it. It is a well thought out piece and I appreciate your posting it. Don't YOU worry about spelling gnats, and keep writing.

The Muslim Turks were able to do this only after they had killed millions of non Muslims aka Christians.

Don't get you hopes up too high on secularization of Muslim states being accomplished---it is in fact a contradiction in terms.

Araby is locked in a self-perpetuating Dark-Ages mindset which will forever keep Arabs benighted unless there is a radical change.

Islam on one hand teaches that it offers a perfect way of life and on the other that apostasy and blasphemy must be punished by death.

But strict adherence to Islam precludes the sort of individualism and free-thinking which makes modernity possible.

Consequently Muslims find themselves locked in a medieval shame/honor culture of paternal tribalism.

And they are regressing.

As a culture, Muslims have journied through history wearing a "Born to lose" tatoo.

You will have to rethink this essay and separate the terms "Arab" and "Muslim".

Your essay does not make much sense the way it is written if you don't.

Over 90% of Arabs are Muslims and to the vast majority of those Arab Muslims that my article applies.
