I recall an incident that occured when I was a student taking my first internet class. I was using a search engine to locate web sites for my class. The search engine listed one site that had a title I couldn't read. So, I clicked on to it. It turned out to be a French language web site. Which, of course, explains why I couldn't understand the title.

But an interesting thing happened as I returned to the search engine. All the advertisements had switched to French. Nothing was in English. Obviously, some bit of software noted my logging on to a French language site and responded.

If there's a spy on my puter, he's not too smart. I'm too broke to go on vacation, but continually get banking and hotel pop ups. Though I do wonder why I hear helicopters every time I log onto FR...
