How in the hell does one direct diversity?

If you direct it, it's no longer diverse. It has conformed to the direction.

Exactly. They're the campus neocommunist equivalent of the Communist (USSR and Chinese) "Political Officers" who used to accompany Russian and Red Chinese dignitaries on foreign junkets. They followed their little sheep to the bathrooms and made sure they weren't exposed to "capitalist" ideas.

Sort of the equivalent to the "Block Committee" or Block Chairman in Mao's China. To enforce party rule, ferret out anti-government activities and thought.
