Good Luck! We are in a battle and are down to the wire in Illinois, Our Senate wants to vote in Drivers License for Illegal Immigrants ((vote Nov 18th 2003)), Everyone wants to cry and whine
No one wants to do the work that's needed.
But alas..I believe thankfully that history is changed by a few..........................
e-mail David Sullivan and tell him to VOTE NO to SB 67!!!
____________________________________________________________
State Senators Dave Sullivan (R-33rd District) and Rick Winkel (R-52nd District) joined with 27 Democrats and voted YES on SB67 last Thursday, November 6, 2003. The controversial bill which would require the State of Illinois to issue Driver's Licenses to illegal aliens fell just one vote short of the 30 votes necessary for passage in the State Senate. However, SB67 will come up again for reconsideration on Tuesday, November 18, and two Democrat supporters of the bill who were absent the first time will be present to add their YES votes to the total!
Clearly, our best (and only) chance to stop passage of this bill is to kill it in the senate. And to do that, minds must be changed.
Please contact Senators Sullivan and Winkel and urge them to VOTE NO on SB67!
We must ACT NOW for our voice to be heard!

Sorry, but it appears President Bush and the rest in DC could care less.

Bush's utter complicity in this ongoing invasion will outweigh any good he does in office. How are we better off if we defend our country abroad and lose it at home?

As one citizen said to me, why should we care when the problem does not touch us directly?
Oh but it does. 65% of all illegals are on public assistance. We directly pay taxes to subsidize that cheap labor. Less than 6% pay any taxes into the coffers. Our hospitals are closing, ditto clinics because they can't afford to treat all the illegals for free. They cost us dearly...each and every one of us. And only 2% actually pick those strawberries. They're displacing American workers at the rate of 730,000 per year...that's citizens unemployed because business is hiring illegal, under the table laborers.

And let's not forget the 25-28% jail population that is illegal aliens who have committed crimes against citizens.

I want it fixed, now. I am not sure that we could save this nation now, even if they started today, and sadly they won't start today, or even five years from now.
I weep for our nation, and long for the one that I lived in, where children could walk the street alone, even at night. Doors were never locked and keys were left in cars. Every boy carried a pocket knife and most had rifles and shotguns, that they could use unsupervised.

THIS will be the battle for our country this coming decade. It is cheaper for Mexico to help elect "compliant" politicians in the border states than to properly care for its own citizens at home. VF should have had his #ss kicked back to Mexico and GWB ought to be furious with his presumption. In the long term-solve this boder and immigration issue and we'll have a far better grip on terrorism than any Patriot Act could do.

IMHO this, here and now, is where the battle against terrorism starts.

Amen, brother. I truly believe that there will be a serious separatist movement in this country when my grandchildren come of age. I hope it will happen peacefully, and that those who still cherish freedom and order will find a homeland in some part of the old United States.

IMHO this, here and now, is where the battle against terrorism starts. Who is going to lead this battle? Poor Tom Tancredo is the only politician that seems to be able to voice any leadership on this issue.

I want it fixed, now. As long as the "fix" isn't amnesty and a massive guest worker program. This writer doesn't say what his idea of a fix is, but that's where most editorials are going these days.

It was reported in the Mexican newspapers this week that due to the price of oil being low, the remittances that Mexicans send to Mexico has overtaken oil as #1.

Amazing. This is money lost to our economy, propping up a foreign government that is actively undermining our nation.
