NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - The Federal Reserve sees so little inflation in the economy that it's more worried about an "unwelcome fall" in inflation than an unwelcome rise.
Take a look at what's going on with prices, and you might wonder where the Fed is getting its information.
To start with, commodity prices from soybeans to cotton to grade A broilers have been running higher this year -- a factor in Friday's surprising rise in the producer price index, which measures inflation at the wholesale level.

I will try, from here forward, to document CNNFN.COM's "headlines". I believe we will see a consistent pattern of focus on ANY negative angle possible.
I hope I'm proved wrong, but I've been watching CNNFN.COM for a while, and the lead story is often very negative....almost as if the editors there do not want an economic recovery to happen. I wonder why. Not.

"The CPI is correct in measuring consumer prices," said Miller Tabak bond market strategist Tony Crescenzi. "But it's not correct in measuring the cost of living." Excellent article. Now even CNN knows the BLS has been cooking the books.

They haven't looked at the price of lumber lately, or beef. The're both up about 30%.

Its more of a "well, the Fed wanted inflation. Now they have it. In spades." kind of article as I see it.
It also illustrates that the "official" numbers are bogus yet again.

Remember when inflation was a bad thing?
