Wesley Clark is a flake, the guy has absolutely no principles, changes his positions on the issues more that Elton John changes his sun glasses

genius or moron Generally speaking, sometimes it hard to tell the difference. My husband is a genius but somedays I could swear he's a moron. :)
I have seen no such genius qualities in Clark.

You think after this brisk leg humping by Kaplan, that Clark will call him in the morning?

What happened in Somalia, then?

True, when Clinton realized Russia and China would veto a resolution calling for intervention, he backed away from the Security Council. However, he did not subsequently piece together a paltry, handpicked caricature of a coalition, as Bush did for the war in Iraq. Instead, he went through another established international organizationNATO.Is the author suggesting Bush should have gone to NATO like Clintoon? Russia and China aren't in NATO, so NATO was an option for Clintoon. Bush's opponents in the UN were France and Germany, both members of NATO.
If the author really believes that while France and Germany defied us at the UN, they would have happily gone along with a NATO invasion of Iraq, then he's the moron.

Does anyone care to argue that intervening in Kosovo was a bad idea, Lots of people!
that the Western alliance wasn't (at least for a brief spell) strengthened as a result,
It was? The French were sending bombing info to Milosevic ahead of time. The Germans were constantly pleading to end the air campaign (Since they got caught lying about the Pristina soccer field camp)
or that the war was unsuccessful?
Are the residents of Yugoslavia better off today than they were 4 years ago?
Milosevic surrendered, was captured,
To whom? To the government of Yugoslavia.
and is standing trial for war crimes in a court of international law
A court that makes the OJ trial look like jurisprudence.
which is more than can be said of Saddam Hussein.
At least we found mass grave in Iraq which is more than we can say about Yugoslavia.
The Serbian defeat was total, unchallenged, and internationally imposed, which may explain why the (truly multinational) postwar peacekeeping forces have suffered minimal casualties in the intervening years.
Yes, but look at who is causing those casualties!!!
