Jeez !
I had to look up "schadenfreude" in my "Dictionary of Obscure Words,Used to Impress Others With Your Wit and Erudition".
In case any of you are wondering, it is " a malicious satisfaction in the misfortunes of others".
What a WORTHY subject for discussion !

Gene: Timesink has been using a "Schadenfreude" media list for more than a year now...this has been a sort of official FR word. I first heard the word about ten years ago and since I took German in high school I could figure out what it meant (literally "sad-joy").
There was no motivation to "impress" Freepers with my "knowledge."
