Infectious Disease Doctor Accused of Having Sex With Teenage Boy 75 to 90 times

FLOWOOD — The teenager who has accused a doctor and another man of sexually molesting him alleges he has had sex with the pair 75 to 90 times, a Flowood police officer testified Thursday.

Detective Jeff Stewart said Scott Henry Hitt, 36, confessed he and Dr. William Causey, 62, had had sex with the 14-year-old boy after they were arrested Nov. 7 on sexual battery charges.

Municipal Court Judge Dan Fairly ruled a Rankin County grand jury should hear the case against Hitt after testimony from Stewart and another Flowood police officer in the preliminary hearing only for Hitt.

Causey says he has not had sex with the child, said Causey's attorney, William Kirksey, who attended the hearing.

Causey, an infectious disease doctor credited with treating the state's first diagnosed AIDS patient, waived his right to a preliminary hearing. He was released from the Rankin County jail on Wednesday on a $125,000 bond.

Under cross-examination from Hitt's attorney, Oby Rogers of Collins, Stewart testified police had no physical evidence, such as semen, to support the teen's allegations.

Kirksey said after the hearing he didn't see how police filed charges with no physical evidence. "I think quite frankly they jumped the gun," he said.

The middle school student who lives with foster parents has had a troubled past, including being molested before in Tupelo, Stewart said. Causey knows the teen's foster parents, according to testimony.

Stewart said he started investigating the teen's allegations after getting a fax Oct. 30 from the state Department of Human Services about the teen being sexually assaulted. The day before the teen had gone to the doctor complaining of pain in the rectal area, Stewart said. "He complained he had not had a bowel movement in two days," Stewart said. "I believe he said he had some bleeding."

The boy also told a teacher that he was being molested, Stewart said.

Hitt and Causey are suspected of having sex with the teen at Hitt's Flowood home, Causey's Jackson home and a Shreveport, La., hotel, Stewart testified. Hitt remains in jail on a $300,000 bond.

Why did the boy put up with it so many times before he told anyone?

This is yet another example of homosexual recruitment of those still developing mentally. We're talking about a middle school student here. Just coming out of puberty, lots of hormones, had some trouble at home, etc. It is a shame he was not raised with appropriate morals and beliefs to help him avoid this situation, but let's place the blame where it belongs.

These two adults are serious scum.

Good heavens.. he was 14 years old. FAR from an adult that can make logic rational choices. He was victimized by a adult with power. (where have we heard that before?)

That doesn't excuse the 36-year-old and the 62-year-old, even if the boy did like it (or grow to like it, or was "helped" by drugs, alcohol and porn to like it). Are you going to blame a 14-year-old for being used by chickenhawks who knew full well what they were doing?

I heard about this last week. I have met the doctor in question, and am absolutely shocked. My family is well acquainted with him and his wife.

Dr. Causey was very active in the Hospice program here in Jackson, giving lots of his time for free to treat terminally ill patients.

I see no reason to doubt the kid's allegations, especially with the accomplice's confession.

But damn, it's tragic.

They picked the wrong county to screw up in, too.

I found it interesting that the local AIDS activists said that they would put up bond money for Causey. If these allegations against Causey turn out to be true, it would seem that this offer may come back to haunt them.

I mean, how can gay activists continue to claim that they don't support pedophiles when they're out offering to pay the bond for a pederast doctor?

Rom. 1:28 28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.
Rom. 1:29 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips,
Rom. 1:30 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents;
Rom. 1:31 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
Rom. 1:32 32Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
