"Sheppard grabbed one of those guys on the a$$, and that he had tried to kiss the other? ... Those rough-necks were so insulted that they led him on a bit ..." Wow, that makes so much sense. I for one, whenever I get uninvited attention, I always make sure I lead the guy on, take him to a dark alley and bludgeon him to death. A harsh word or a slap on the face just doesn't say it like a good bit of Christian love about the head with a blunt object.
Funny the story never did seem to come straight: was the reason robbery, McKinney's repressed sexual confusion, methamphetamines and alcohol, or just good ol' "Wyoming manners"? I guess with defense attorneys around, we'll never get the true story, although I've always been suspicious of the secret leanings of those who harbour so much hate toward Queers.
"Was it bad? Yes, it really was." But not as bad as being openly Queer, right?
"But they didn't want to kill him, and it wasn't like they chose him --HE had chosen THEM." If they didn't want to kill him, then why did they beat him to within an inch of his life, and then leave him there to die? He chose them - right. He said "Hey there good looking, why don't we three take a walk to a private place so you can beat me to death?" or was it "Hey, I'm a drunk Queer and I'd be easy to seduce and then rob" [shakes head]
