I've wondered about that, too. Maybe he is trying to counterbalance the overwhelming negativity in the media but it really isn't his place (as a journalist) to do so.

Ted has never seem to be the most industrious reporter in the neighborhood, if you get my drift. He's appears to be more than willing to take what he is handed and does not appear willing to muddy his well mannicured nails, lol.

He gets that deer caught in the headlights look sometimes when even Larry King asks him questions, which is scarey.

Maybe I'm being rough on the guy, but I'm just not impressed.
