Gregario will swoop in some bucks and some free advertisement and in the end will submit a plea deal to spare Scott's life.
The attorney could care less whether Scott gets the needle. He's there for the money. I believe that Laci's estate will be responsible for the attorney's bill. Who's the winner in all this...again...the attorney.

I just keep going back to the OJ trial, which was high profile too, and despite all the physical evidence jurors kept saying they had "reasonable doubt". The OJ jury was racially motivated. Period. You're not going to see that here.

They have tapes with Peterson absolutely incriminating himself with his OWN MOUTH. Ok I was just going by what was reported in these stories today that so far all they had linking Peterson's wife inside the boat was a hair. To my knowledge there's no other direct evidence like blood or a witness.
But if they have him incriminating himself on tape then tied in with the circumstantial evidence that increases the odds of a conviction.

They just reported on Court TV that on redirect the detective stated that Scott purchased a fishing license on the 20th for the 23rd & 24th. He clearly know on the 20th he would be going fishing on one of those two days. Looks like we have another lie!!!! There's getting to be too many to keep track of.

The Simpson Jury was a NULLIFIED Jury. Very seldom would you EVER run into that again. THAT Jury had made their decidison before the Prosecution even put on their case. It was a total waste of Tax payers money and should NEVER have been tried in downtown LA. They were a PATHETIC Jury. One of the older black ladies on the Jury couldn't even remember the name of the lady that sat beside her every day for 10 months. So she really understood the DNA didn't she? That was a FREAK and every Prosecutor since I believe has been careful. ALSO Judge ITO had NO CONTROL over the Court proceedings or the Defense Attorneys. He was clearly over his head and has apparently gone back to ruling on Juvenile cases. IMO he should be in traffick court after that display. Girolami is a WHOLE DIFFERENT ballgame. He has Geragos figured out and is not playing his games.

Seriously Julie?? So the Golfing was the DEFINITE lie. Frankly he wasn't going fishing, he just needed to get on the water and "pretend" he was going fishing. The LIES are staggering. This guy lives by lies. An extremely bad character has been established for Scott Peterson. He's deceitful, underhanded, manipulative, a liar, a cheat, and a murderer imo.

Gregario will swoop in some bucks and some free advertisement and in the end will submit a plea deal to spare Scott's life. No doubt about that, this trial will be a windfall for Geragos thanks to the free publicity. It's a win win for him all the way around.

Laci's estate will NOT be responsible for the legal fees IF he's found guilty!! Her estate will go to HER family as RG has pointed out many times. IF Snotty is found gulity, he's entitled to NOTHING.

It's pretty clear that he didn't expect anyone to even investigate him. If he did, he wouldn't have done so many incredibly stupid things (e.g., getting a license for only two days, giving Amber gifts, etc.). I hope we have closing arguments in this hearing because I'm getting so tired of the talking heads saying there's very little evidence (e.g., one hair in the boat). They seem to forget about some of this testimony that, taken together, seems pretty powerful.

YOU and ME both!! In fact I wish they would rush through with the Detective, they have enough already!! Geragos tho is going to slow it down all he can. And WHY could he get away with flapping his gums on the courthouse steps? Talking about the trial. HE is under the GAG order. I don't buy Pixley's explanation at all. Pixley is a definite hired hack for Geragos!! Oh I would love for Jackie-O to get through and pin his ears to the wall.!!

Wow! Looks like Scott returned to the Bay at least 3 times, twice in a rental car. He was under police surveillance. Also testimony from a friend of Ambers, the one who introduced them, who said she found out he was married. He begged her not to tell Amber, that his wife was dead, etc. She didn't. The day he told Amber was the same day he bought the boat.
Lots of good info today.

Good points from you both regarding the OJ trial, there was jury nullification that went on there unfortunately.
If the jurors forget the spotlight is on them and don't raise the bar on what is needed to convict as what happens so often in these celebrity trials, Peterson stands a good chance of being convicted. Especially if he's incriminated himself on tape.

More updates from CTV......
The detective called the Peterson tip line with a "tip" that incriminated Scott. The tip line never reported this to police!
Scott drove to the bay three times the week after Laci was missing and just stared near where she washed ashore.
The person who introduced Scott to Amber thought he was unmarried but found out at the beginning of December that he was not. She (the friend) confronted Scott on Dec. 6th and he told her his wife was dead. Remember he looked at the boat on the 8th and bought it on the 9th (the same day he had a conversation with Amber).
