Court begins at 9:30 am (PST) on Thursday, November 13th in Department 2 of Superior Court. This will be the 9th day of the Scott Peterson Preliminary Hearing. Media members with seating credentials must be seated in the courtroom by 9:15 am.

A large perimeter trench was dug on the media parking lot across from the courthouse. There is now limited parking for live trucks/vans ONLY. The entrance has been moved. You now enter this lot on H Street between 10th and 11th Streets.

DO NOT PARK YOUR PRIVATE CARS ON THIS LOT. There is adequate public parking at the parking structure on 11th Street beween I and J Street.

All courtroom seating credentials issued at the beginning of the Scott Peterson Preliminary Hearing will remain valid for the duration. Please do not discard your numbered pass even though it's passed the expiration date -- as it will not be replaced and you will forfeit your designation.

Court is scheduled for Weds, Thurs and Friday of this week. Depending on the pace of the hearing, it could extend into the following week.

...KING: Well, let me ask Ted Rowlands. What about that strange story about the person breaking into the house and putting on Laci's wedding dress? What is that?

ROWLANDS: Well, the surveillance camera of course, possibly recorded that burglary which happened in January, and the defense really wants to see whether or not that was recorded on any of these tapes, because it was such a bizarre incident, which, most likely has absolutely nothing to do with this case, but because it is so bizarre, they want to get as much information as they can.

Apparently, this woman, who was a neighbor of the Petersons, was to just watch the dog, Mckenzie, while Scott was out of town. Well, she ended up breaking some glass, going into the house. She stole some photographs, a video camera, some Christmas presents, a couple of Laci's sweaters. And then, the most bizarre thing, according to people who are familiar with her testimony to police, she draped herself in Laci's wedding dress and was on the bed -- Laci and Scott's bed for whatever reason. The defense wants. obviously, some more information about this and whether or not this will play to a jury as more than confusion. Who knows? i

But it's another bizarre, bizarre part of this bizarre case.

I've wondered about that, too. Maybe he is trying to counterbalance the overwhelming negativity in the media but it really isn't his place (as a journalist) to do so.

So far, it appears the hair is the only piece of evidence linking Laci Peterson to her husband's boat.

If that's all the hard evidence prosecutors have, even though Peterson may be guilty as sin it's doubtful he'll be convicted, it's not enough.

It looks like they're basing most of their case on circumstantial evidence like Peterson's affairs, but there will be a juror or two who will refuse to give someone the death penalty with only that to go by. My prediction: hung jury or possible conviction of manslaughter only.
