Well done, Jeff. Col. West, I also join those who say that you have my back any time. God bless you and this nation is grateful for your service.

I seem to recall there was a Memphis trumpet blower named W.C. Handy who went pretty far following the exposure an early political campaign song he penned broought him considerable exposure....

I know this is a trivial comparison, but the treatment of Col. West is akin to denying the "MVP" to a football player who scored the winning touchdown because he was offside in the first quarter.
In another way its a bit like disciplining General George Patton in WWII because he slapped a shell-shocked soldier. The Nazi's couldn't believe that we would do that to our most effective General.
The old saying "there's the Right Way and then there is the Army Way" seems operative here.
Godspeed Col. West, there are thousands of us that know you exemplify the true meaning of leadership!

Thanks guys. LTC West is a faithful, honorable and patriotic American who made a tough and correct call in an urgent combat situation. He deserves to be extolled for that decision and its outcome.
I pray our collective efforts can ensure that he is.
