Howard Dean: Kill the Helpless - Gems from the Dem candidate

Has Dr. Howard Dean forgotten the Hippocratic oath he took? If he had his way, Terri Schiavo would suffer an agonizing death by starvation.

Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and the Legislature should be "embarrassed" for passing a law to prevent the brain-damaged woman from being slowly put to death according to her husband's desire, said the Democrat front-runner, who professed to be "appalled."

"I'm tired of people in the Legislature thinking that they have an M.D. when what they really have is a B.S.," he said this week in Tallahassee.

As usual, self-described feminist groups were silent about yet another politician calling for a woman to be killed according to her husband's wishes ... for the crime of being inconvenient and expensive. Does NOW think Mrs. Schiavo is mere chattel?

Years ago we used to work in nursing homes and can tell you they are full of helpless people dependent on feeding tubes. If Dean wants them all dead he'll be too busy to do anything else.

Let's hope that, should he ever be sworn in as president, he doesn't abandon that oath as well.

I don't give a C.R.A.P. about his M.D. Initials after a name do not impute wisdom or judgment.

We swore it right before we got our diplomas. Some schools may not require it anymore in these days of PC but most do.

Now that I have put a confederate flag in my truck, I plan to vote for him. </sarcasm>

The question is when the oath was taken, and which oath.

There are modern versions which dance around the whole abortion/euthenasia thing.

I have heard that it is not required also.

The classic version reads, "I will not give a woman a pessary to procure abortion." Some schools have deleted that phase, others haven't rationalizing that if a physician chooses to perform an abortion, he or she most certainly will not use a pessary to do it.

In this context, a pessary is an absorbent material inserted in the cervix to dilate it over time and cause loss of the pregnancy.

Lovely...so basically this is a free-for-all so doctors can do whatever they want when it comes to abortion/euthenasia...and it is okay

Here is something that I was thinking about...doesn't Dean's logic follow closely to the logic of Hitler, Mengele, and the rest of Nazi party, who euthanized anyone brain-damaged or mentally deficient?

Naw. The Nazi's had a plan (not a good one but a plan). Dean just stumbles around.

LOL, sure; it pays to increase your word-power -- no matter WHAT rules you have to break!

I'm a bit of a poet so structure and grammar mean nothing. New words are cool. When someone is so excited that they act stupid, they are, "giddiots"

"I'm tired of people in the Legislature thinking that they have an M.D. when what they really have is a B.S."

Dean's opinion on Terri has nothing to do with him being an M.D., and everything to do with him being a Leftist Democrat. Dean wouldn't know which end of the feeding tube goes in.

Hread is an excellent word for posting. Since we write and read, typing things like, "I heard that" really don't make since. But with your new word "hread" sayin "I, (h, for virtual hearing and read, for read), hread that" make perfect sense. You are a genius.

Don't you agreed CJ? Tinfoil hat on?

Tell her you will write her out of your will
You need to sit her down and knock some sense into her. Tell her that there are other people her age that don't allow themselves to be brainwashed by liberal stupidity. Show her the error in her ways. You can do it!
