it is the obligation of every U.S. citizen, and every other person residing in the United States, between the ages of 18 and 26 to perform a two-year period of national service"

Yeah, and its the obligation of every free person to fight to their dying breath those who would enslave them.

"National Service" is a pathetic euphamism for SLAVERY and the author of this bill is welcome to come to my house and try to crack his whip on me.

I think you mean "euphemism". Don't worry your pretty little head, though, the bill won't pass. But, you do need a little help with word definitions it appears. Slaves aren't paid for starters. Good try though!

I don't think so. Remember who this would affect. It's the "CHILDREN". We all know that the little snotnoses learn from birth that the Sun rises and sets on their little skulls of jello. A period of military style service could bring a some reality to their sheltered pathetic little lives that would make them more responsible.

I hire teenagers for Summer work for my business, you wouldn't believe the attitude some of these kids possess. I've wanted to take a few of them out back to the woodshed and "learn" them a little respect. Perhaps something like this might help.

The Universal National Service Act of 2003

Introduced by Representative Rangel(D) and Senator Hollings(D)

Yes, slavery, both private (outlawed in 1863 by Republican A. Lincoln) and government (outlawed in 1973 by Republican Richard Nixon) is a Democrat idea.
