Somehow I wouldn't want to ride anywhere with someone named Ted. Ps, I hope the pilots aren't drunk.

Mary Joe Kopeckne had a bad ride with a guy named ted.

(Tagline? You wanna' a tagline? I gotcha' tagline right here.)
Thus far there's only one route scheduled: Chappaquidic Island to the mainland.
They're now dredging the channel for the maiden flight.

Ted is a disasterous name, but is there any chance of getting this airline (and others) of flying American made planes?

United Airlines (search), the world's second-largest airline, Wednesday confirmed it has named its fledgling low-cost carrier venture "Ted," Will people fly with "Ted" if their flight path brings them over water?

Looks like someone's trying to tap into the Southwest market, i.e. provide no-frills flights at no-frills prices rather than provide no-frills flights at big frill prices.

United Airlines, the world's second-largest airline, Wednesday confirmed it has named its fledgling low-cost carrier venture "Ted," as it prepares to launch the service from Denver early next year. If they paint a bat on the sides of their planes, I'm not going anywhere near them...

They wanted to name it "Monica", but realized that they wouldn't be able to claim a maiden flight or even get off the ground.

When making travel arrangements, my rule is never take transport from a company with someone's name in the title. Fred's Bait, Tackle and Puddle-Jumpers comes to mind.
