I rode a red 900 Kawa in '79, it was the model with low pipes that dragged the pavement when cornering ~ five of went on a ride in the Berkeley hills and traded bikes ~ it was fast in straight line, only. :)

I had a '79 GS500 Suzuki that had Duer (sp) cams, Mikuni's off of a GS1000, air forks, Works Performance rear shocks ~ it was the fastest of the lot on the twisties. :)

I traded in on a '81 GS1100EX Suzuki, the best all around road bike I ever owned, I rode it for 10 years and never had a single problem with it ~ except for eating rear tires. :)

I did have a green bike, it was a '74 Kawa KX400 MX bike, I took the little green gas tank off and installed one of those clear platic enduro tanks so that I could make a 50 mile loop on the fire roads. :) Damn fine dirt bike!
