Oh...we're going to establish a free and democratic Iraq, are we? Sure...so long as they don't have the audacity to choose leaders not pre-approved by our govt. That may be "free and democratic" to some people but it looks more like a Soviet-style puppet govt to me.

You have touched on the most critical, and most ignored point of the whole IRAQ issue.

We are afraid to let them pick someone not on OUR list, because of the consequences if that apple turns sour.

We must avoid having it look like we are not giving them a free choice.

Now, that having been said, I would say that it wouldn't look like a Soviet-style puppet gov't.

It would be an American-style puppet government. The exact same style we have here in the US.

YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PICK YOUR CANDIDATE. YOUR VOTE IN THE FINAL ELECTION DOESN'T EVEN COUNT.

Tell me I am wrong.
