The Iraqi doctor who helped to save her called her a hero on Joe Scarborough's show tonight....but what does he know? Right? They way the word "hero" has been thrown around the last few years, it seems unless you are a criminal or a paedophile you qualify. How absurd. She is no hero. What did she do except endure suffering in a venue she had no business being in (not her fault, but Clinton's). She saved no one, she did nothing heroic. Why should I give a crap what an Iraqi physician has to say on the subject? Audie Murphy was a hero, Jessica Lynch is not.

Jessica doesn't view herself as a hero, so why all of the antagonism? She's a young person who has been through a lot of bad things. Her story is of interest so she has told it via her book and interviews. More power to her if she gets this attention. The sorry side of it is the antagonism that she will also generate. Regardless, there are a lot of people interested in her story. Personally I would be interested in the stories of all of our young men and women who are serving around the world. It's too bad the media hasn't provided them with a forum as well.
