It really was not that hard of a decision.
Not only was it the right thing to do but would have caused all kinds of problems had I not destroyed it.
I had to purposely be vague to even mention it. In fact now that I think about it I probably should not even have mentioned it period.

There are two sides to our war 'hero' Jessica. I don't necessarily believe Flynt ought to publish these....but she was dumb enough to allow her boyfriend to take the pic's...so she has some fault too. In two years, she will be totally forgotten because the public will have simply moved on. Let her soak up the money and publicity and enjoy what she is getting....sooner or later...she will be a nobody like the rest of us.

Flynt has been deified, by Hollywood. Same as has Michael Moore.

Topless pictures of Jessica Lynch, So what is the big deal about that? We all know that females have breasts, don't we? In today's world of letting it all hang out everywhere, who cares when or why this young lady was photographed bare breasted?
I am suprised at how often the young and sophisticated, sound so much like they accuse us old fogies of being. Sheesh!!!!!

But they can only do so if she lets them. Yes. I agree. So far there has been one TV movie that she had nothing to do with. One interview (yet to be aired) with a journalist that she probably grew up watching and respecting. And now a Vanity Fair interview that I don't know if it has been published yet. Most of the stuff we have heard about her has been from the media and the Pentagon.
My guess is that she is reeling from all of the attention and has no idea that the media will chew her up and spit her out without a second thought. Regardless of the photos(yet to be verified) I really feel for this extremely naive young lady.

I find it hard to believe nude pics of Pvt. Lynch were taken while she was on base. Oh, believe me. You would literally not believe some of the things soldiers get up to. Posing nude for the camera would be a lesser item of mischief.
As an infantryman, I can tell you that one of the biggest sources of trouble on post would be the Support Unit barracks (the support unit was where all the females were). I went to a couple of the support barracks parties when I was still a private and vowed to stay away from that place afterwards. (oh but I could tell you stories from just those couple of instances)

There are two sides to our war 'hero' Jessica. That's an interesting way of looking at it. I suppose you could say that once she decided to authorize a biography and put her name out there to make money, she made herself a public figure voluntarily. As distinguished from her horrible experience in the war that was involuntary. When she crossed that line and did interviews and a book to make money, she kinda/sorta becomes fair game.

You forgot the quotation marks around "men", because these males are nothing more than overgrown boys. How do we know that it was a male that took the pictures? It could have been something she and some female friends around the base did one night for a laugh after drinking a few too many mudslides. One of her gal-pals might have made the mistake of leaving them where they could be found. We can't be sure that it really was a guy shopping for a buyer. Women can be very mean when they want to. Could have been a friend of one of the other female POW's who didn't like Lynch getting all the attention.
