I think the reporting requirement is $10k.

Pop quiz: What's the constitutional basis of that reporting requirement when there is no interstate commerce involved?

Actually, the reporting number has been changed to much less than 10k. It also includes a provision that you have to report exchanges that are suspicious. For example, someone depositing a lot of money in small bills--day after day. Or, if someone deposits a couple of hundred less than the amount, each day for a week. The rules are pretty vauge about what suspicious really is.

Big brother is really watching....
