Cooperation leads to weapons caches

TIKRIT, IRAQ – Information is one of the most valuable tools that assist Coalition forces in stopping deadly attacks that kill, wound and maim innocent Iraqi citizens and Coalition soldiers.  Throughout Task Force Ironhorse, on a daily basis, concerned Iraqis offer vital information to the Coalition with the hope that the bloodshed will end.

During the afternoon of November 8th, an Iraqi Civil Defense Corps member told 4th Infantry Division soldiers from 3-16 Field Artillery Battalion about an area near Rashidiyah that he believed was a mortar cache.  Soldiers went to the location and discovered 187 rounds of 60mm mortar.  The munitions were confiscated and will be destroyed

Based on another Iraqi citizen’s information, Task Force Ironhorse soldiers located 17 80mm rockets, four rocket propelled grenade launchers with 11 rocket-propelled grenades, five recoilless rifles with 41 rounds, and four 64 mm mortar rounds.

As the amount of weapons and ammunition confiscated and destroyed increases due to the assistance of the people of Iraq, the same people who assist will benefit from the improved security and stability in their communities.  Those brave Iraqi’s who offer Coalition forces information are an essential part of the successful realization of a free and democratic Iraq.

Imagine how cooperative they'd be if we took the advice of every idiot screaming to "MAOB" "Their raghead asses!? If we're going to win this thing, for the long haul, we will absolutely depend on Iraqis who want freedom.

"Cooperation leads to weapons caches". This is how they do gun control in New York City and Great Britain too. Coming soon to a UN enclave near you.

The noose is tightening on sectors still having occasional violence. They are finding the weapons, the munitions, AND the cells. All are being destroyed.

It is simply a matter of time.

Or get a reputation for brutality that's just a little less reprehensible than the Mukhbarhat's.
