Can I be the devils advocate here for a moment?You ask why this happens at Ft. Benning.What do you think they teach there,diplomcy? No,They teach how to kill,and kill proficiantly.They teach how to kill without remource,by the way, that is what makes a great soldier.Killing can also make one dishonorable.Ft. Benning is a killing school,cuz some people just need killin.Not this kid though,that is, I think not,unless he betrayed someone.Think about what we train our sodiers to do,we train them to kill,don't be surprised when they do!

Don't forget that our society is barely held together.

Anything that bonds dissimilar people together is under attack in the US. We are destroying family, church and the flag at the same time that we are teaching our young to kill in reality and in the virtual world.

Much of our music and many of our movies teach us to not give a damned about our neighbor. Marriage is a losing bet and people don't really seem to care.

You are right, though, that Ft. Benning turns out men predisposed towards violence.
