Sending food back to the kitchen can be a risky business

An architect once told me he worked as a waiter while going through college. One day a customer complained his steak was too raw. He took it back to the kitchen whereupon the cook grabbed the steak, spat on it, threw it down onto the floor, and stomped on it. He then picked it up, put it on the plate, and told the waiter to take it back. The customer ate it.

I don’t ever, ever, ever send my food back.

I'm with you, I don't send food back. I just never go back to the restaurant.
