"This is not a simple demonstration of free speech rights," Danielle Tierney, spokeswoman for Planned Parenthood of the Texas Capital Region, told the Associated Press . "This is denying people affordable health care and reproductive rights."

I've heard this over and over, yet I still don't get it. Let me get this stright. If an abortion clinic is prevented from construction, people will get sick or die because they can't get health care? Isn't that what health care is for? Dying, injured, or sickly people?

Reproductive rights? What's a reproductive right? Was that Thomas Jefferson or James Madison that implemented that one?

You said something about moving to Texas once? It sounds like you'd be in good company.

God bless those fine folks and God give the rest of the country the moral courage to stand up against this evil that is abortion.

I'll second that. :-)

I was trying to be polite, but, trying to be polite can be most confusing.

"This is denying people affordable health care and reproductive rights."

There you have it, folks. If you are NOT involved in the construction of a building in or around Austin, Texas, you are denying people affordable health care and keeping them from making their own choices regarding whether they will have children or not.

I guess that makes as much sense as saying "Bill Clinton was a fine president." [p]resident (sic).

Planned Parenthood announced today that they have found a new building contractor. The question, left unanswered, was whether the new buildres will be able to find the subcontractors who can finish the job.

Garcia, BTW, was the one who fought to force Austin ISD schools to accept and use the SEICUS guidelines which not only included indoctrination of "safe sex" practices and condom usage, discussing birth alternatives and other controversial ideas but also had as part of its curriculum to teach masturbation to third-graders. I kid you not.

Or if said builders will ever work again in Austin after this.

...key contractors balked at the project because it was going to house a Planned Parenthood clinic where abortions were going to be performed.

Wow...
