No one seems to care about them and it bothers me to the extreme and in fact is down right depressing. I guess you have to be beautiful and look like a movie star to get anything. But there was quite a lot of coverage and pictures constantly on the news at the time of their capture, during their capture, AND their release and their homecoming, I thought. I agree we're not hearing anything about any of them now, and yes, there's been a huge buildup about Jessica Lynch's book, the interview, and the TV movie, and it's not going to be over soon for her.

Well, what a nice surprise that was - I'm glad they are offering the discount to Veterans.

WOLFIE!!!! You're back. Again!
Someone needs to bake you some upside down cake. I would, but, well, it just never comes out right!LOL! Hi, Dixie!!
How are you at baking pies? : )

Well, the bad thing about it is that I wrote all the hostesses and reminded them to change the url in their own copies of the bottom link thingies. :(
I was just thinking, oh, I have time to do that later.....and then later (this morning, that is) I am late posting the thread as I almost ALWAYS am on Mondays, and changed nothing except the link to the weekend thread, which is habit.
T Man, you did NOT see this error. :)

I traded in Percoset for Bugs Bunny and it kinda worked well. LOL! I'll give it a try.
Oh man, nowadays when I stub my toe or something, I just remember *that* pain and compare it to what I'm experiencing and I just laugh it off. So I guess you've got that going for you: in the future you'll be more pain-toughened perhaps.
Sure hope so!
What doesn't kill you . . ..
You made me laugh, Freezie.....thanks. : )
To: Billie
Actually there was very little. There was more coverage of Lynch being carried out on the stretcher, etc.

It's my fault! :( The Album was moved, but the link above is to it's 'old' address. But I did check the new address, and didn't see your photo - probably .45Man hasn't had a chance to get it sized and uploaded yet. When they get a whole bunch of new photos in at once, it takes time to get all of the edited and uploaded to the Album.

lol, not much better. When you live by yourself, you tend to buy them rather than bake them!
I must admit my cooking skills are rapidly taking a downhill turn! I use to love to cook too. Cooking for one is a pain! Thank you Lord for Stouffer's and Marie Callendar and frozen single serve pizza's.

Is Stu the Marine I met in D.C.?
You met Graham. Stu and Brad are both in the Army. Mathew acts and looks a lot like his uncle Brad. Stu left for Afghanistan the night of the Protest. That was a heck of a note watching all of those useful idiots then getting a quick phone call before you son leaves.

Persian rugs are always a good buy. Gold jewelry over there is cheap, I've heard. A burqua????? Of course, you could always give that to the ANSWER group and tell them to start making a bunch, 'cause that's what they'll be wearing in Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan when they go there to live.
You have a wonderful family, I was honored to meet the ones I did. Tell Graham and his wife I said hello and give Matthew a big hug for me! He is so precious.
