This is a pretty pathetic bunch. Only one or two good guys in the whole lot. The thoughts that any secrets or national security info is "safe" with this bunch is a joke. (Ditto if you think they represent America's best interests.)

How trustworthy is Olympia Snowe? She's usually pretty liberal, isn't she?

My first thought when I read about the memo was that it had the sound of an edict from Hillary, or her hand servant, Terry McCauliffe. Then I read that one of the staffers on the Democrat side was one of the Clinton national security advisors. That's obviously where the memo came from. It explains Hatch's reaction and really needs to be exposed. I don't expect the truth, but the staffer's head on a platter will have to do.

Well said and I believe it.I never believed that it was just republicans that the scumbags had files on. I believe too that the list wasn't limited to just politicians on the Hill, ala Arnold and Rudy

How did Hatch react? I missed that.

Sadly,I must agree with you.Roberts and Bond are the only decent ones. Roberts appeared rather shaky the last week, but he seemed pretty steamed on FOX this am,so there may be some hope there. That our national security rests with these dirtbags, is a disgrace and disservice to our men and women, in harm's way. They deserve much better than this bunch-we all do.

Saxby Chambliss is also a decent guy. He impresses me very much. However, Hagel should be removed immediatly. He has no loyalty at all. I prefer Snowe to him.

Hatch was very reticent to blame Rockefeller for the memo, saying that he has known him for a long time and that he would never author such a memo. Hatch said something about it being a terrible thing but that it shouldn't shut down the important work of the committee. Hatch was wrong. I think the committee should have shut down before it began. There was nothing new to report.

Thanks for the update. The remarks are vintage hatch, IMHO. That's the same way he'd react if the finger was being pointed at his big buddy, Ted Kennedy. I once had high hopes for Hatch, but I haven't heard anything sensible come out of his mouth for so long (starting with his apologies for Clinton) that I've become disheartened.
