Close, but they are more likely to call this a "gun accident." They will spin this that the child is perfectly normal, and this sort of thing happens all the time in households where a gun is present. Of course, registering handguns and banning "assault rifles" would have somehow prevented this tragedy, they will say.

I'm a big supporter of gun rights like most of you, but if I had a kid with a violent disposition in my house, I'd be darn sure he had NO access to my guns--even if that meant getting rid of them.
