The guy maintaining the site will just erase any negative comments. Maybe we could start an online "memorial" to Gerty Jones right here, as a seperate thread?

This isn't the first fundraising ad the Democrats have run in the obituary page. There was another where the family took it upon themselves to ask that concerned people give money to the Democrats.

Some on FR pledged to give alright, give to the GOP. There were also comments that they would send a notecard to the bitter son who ran the ad/obituary saying that $10 had been contributed to the GOP in their memory. The Rats at DUh ran a number of threads encouraging people to give money to the DNC and were outraged (deeply saddened?) that FReepers would choose a time like this the politicize things. Never mind that some people read the obituary page to take their minds off of global politics.

Just talking about committing some $$$ to the GOP in the honor of dead voting DemocRats everywhere will be enough to rile up their base.

Good idea, but just be respectful and compassionate, but understanding that now she is heaven and can see the true scope of things, we realize that rather than oust Bush she surely wants to instead help him win another term, and promise a donation to the RNC in memory of her.
