I thought the media was the one who made the story of her capture up, not the military. All the military said was people had been shot and fought back.

That's true --- and if it's publicity and a lot of money she's after, high book sales she wants --- then saying what the media wants to hear would be worth her while. I liked her better when I thought she and her family just wanted to be left alone and get on with their private lives. If she wants to be a famous celebrity of some kind writing books and all the rest ---- then she should be prepared for criticism too.
