LOL but seriously, Greer is being watched - and he must follow the law or he will be overruled on appeal. He can't make it up as he goes along...Connors is too smart to let him. In the past, he has made some questionable decisions and the Bush team may go so far as to allege he abused his discretion, such as picking and choosing what he allows in as evidence.
Most of the injustice in this case is a matter of Felos exploiting legal loopholes and Greer following the "letter of the law" and finding for Felos even when it defies common sense.
