I would love to tell you a story of the Northern Borders, so I will. My husband and I are Great Lake Boaters, our home port is in Port Clinton, Ohio. Several times a season we take a trip to Windsor Casino in Windsor Ontario about 60 miles. We leave our dock and go NW thru Lake Erie, about 30 miles into our trip we enter into Candadian Waters. We continue into the Detroit River and go the the Lake St. Clair/Detroit River where we go to a marina for the weekend. Once there, we are required to call Canadian Customs where we give them our names, names of passengers, boat name/numbers and the amount of time we will be in Windsor. We then take a cab (ALWAYS) driven by a rude middle-eastern to the casino. We could stay days as long as we pay our dock fees. We could have drugs, weapons, and 10 more people than we came with and be in US water in one hour. We have never been check boarded nor have any of our fellow boaters who also make the trip. It is a joke and a ticking time bomb.
