Well, you can, but they'll either ignore you or come up with some nonsense explanation as to how it doesn't apply in one case, but does apply in another.

"A hurricane is not a cell." (True! Very true! However, if the laws of physics really forbid something, it can't happen for a hurricane or a cell. It can't happen at all.)

A hurricane may be a cell but a tornado may be a super-cell.
