I would like to know what some of you southerners think of this article.

Nothing I haven't heard before - there is no greater hatred and contempt around than that of the New York Times toward the South. The very existence of this part of the country is an affront to the Slimes' delicate sensibilities (Really, any part of the country outside of Manhattan, San Francisco, Georgetown and Malibu is offensive to the Slimes, but the South really drives them over the edge). In the Slimes' perfect world, every white southerner would be stripped of his/her citizenship and thrown into the gulag.

and it is hard to understand their deep hatred of the south, since there are so many wonderful things here, like M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, one of the best cancer treatment centers in the world. People come here from all over the world for cancer treatment. We have some of the best hospital facilities in the world. We have NASA where everyone is a rocket scientist. We have brilliant minds working at the petro-chemical plants all over the south. etc. etc. etc.
