This would make a nice story but it is not what the evidence reflects. But hey don't let the evidence affect your opinion here.
Lying to the police is a sign of guilt, don't you know?. Innocent people don't feel the need to lie to the cops.
You are right of course. It is not like he had multi million dollar endorsements on the line. It is not like people caught in embarrassing situations regularly take a bit of time to understand that with police questioning they will have to tell the truth. Do you have any connection with the real world?
There's a big difference between not remembering and lying....the first is under severe stress and the last is voluntary.
So you think a married man lying to the police at first about having sex with another woman is a sure sign they are a rapist, but someone claiming rape neglecting to "remember" one of the key elements of the crime is just "stress." How LIBERAL of you.
Clearly you do not. You favor the state against a defendant. That is certainly the liberal view. You have affirmative action for your perferred nontruth teller using a liberal excuse like stress. Again how liberal of you. Too bad you do not have the integrity to recognize your own stance for what it is.
How do you know? Are you one? That's really a stupid statement. As has already been pointed out, he would have stood to lose millions of dollars in endorsements, not to mention the possible loss of his marraige, by admitting that.
His old hang out.
L.A. has produced an interesting specialty group in the legal profession. There's one particular guy who devotes his life to suing law enforcement agencies, and an individual with a local leftist advocacy group who also devotes a lot of her time to attacking law enforcement. The predictable outcome is that the city has also developed a pretty good "cop defense" bar. John Barnett is probably the best of the group, but there's half a dozen others. Chris appears to be building a pretty good practice doing that kind of work.
You said "Tug McGraw's son(who's now a big country star) was accused of rape too a long time ago." In fact, it was NOT Tim McGraw, the country star, who was accused of rape, but his half-brother Mark. The assault took place in 1992 and Mark McGraw went to school in my neighborhood. I just don't want anyone to think Tim McGraw is anything BUT decent.
Anybody who thinks Bill Clinton was the greatest President "we ever had", is considerably less than decent.
