I have been wondering about this statement I am guessing it has to do with number of bodies not percentages
of people unemployed would this be a correct assumption because if it is this statement only shows that the population has risen since Hoover.

Nah, I jumped the fence 18 years ago and AM NEVER GOING BACK!! Sappy, brain-dead, follow-the-crowd, "I believe and trust you because you're the authority on _______ (choose one of the following or all: Freedom of Choice, Evironmentalism, Evolutionism, Social Issues, Education, etc., etc.)" emotions. Very little critical thinking at all.

What a load of horse s**t. When Hoover left office, the unemployment rate was 20%. It is now 6% --- about the average rate for the last 40 years.

These guys must spend all day sitting around to make this crap up.

I jumped the fence after '92. I came from a union family and all I knew was democrats. Heck...even thought the future marriage pool was only democrats ;-). I woke up. There is hope for democrats. My mom was a life long democrat. You voted GOP for the first time in 2000. THe democrats just have no idea how they have turned away a portion of their base AND the fence sitters by their rhetoric....which is fine by me. If they want to be the special interest party...that's fine....they can be the party of 30% and no power.

Same here. It's always an honor to help friends and family understand just what is on the mind of the Dems when their words and actions conflict with each other and common sense. Watching that little light of understanding glow in my friends' eyes is a hoot.
