[history]
Iran told President Bush to mind his own business Friday after he called for greater democracy in the region. Similar and equally caustic views were expressed by commentators across the region.
While some commentators stressed that most people in the Middle East genuinely want democracy, Bush's preaching on freedom aroused resentment in a region where America is accused of waging war on Iraq and siding blindly with Israel against the Palestinians.

And because all true democracies in the world came as a result of internal struggle, not due to foreign intervention, particularly American." Can you say Germany and Japan? I thought you could.

from the article: "And because all true democracies in the world came as a result of internal struggle, not due to foreign intervention, particularly American."
Wow - I actually am forced to agree with a camel jockey! I think this is the biggest Iraqi hurdle to leap over, as forcing a democracy on a people truly never has happened. History isn't on the side of force-fed democracy, especially to a people who blindly hate those who are doing the force-feeding.

The Arab leaders are afraid.
Good.
Ask not for whom the bell tolls;
It tolls for thee.

Sounds to me like it's the Iran-holes who need to mind their own business.
I'm sick of this - bout time we dusted off Enola Gay and gave her a new mission. . . .

As of 9/11 -- if not before -- it became Bush's business. It became our business when their 'students' invaded our embassy. (Thank you Jimmy Carter for your forceful response).
