The U.S. Veterans Legacy Project is pleased to announce that the 44th Annual Delaware County Veterans Day Parade will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 11, in Media.

The parade will begin at noon at State and Edgemont streets, proceed west on State Street, north on Orange Street and east on Front Street to its conclusion at the reviewing stand in front of the Delaware County Courthouse at Front and Veterans Square. The ceremony will begin immediately upon the conclusion of the parade.

This year's theme is "Honoring All Who Served With Special Tribute To Korean War Veterans." As a member organization of the Department of Defense's Korean War Commemorative Community, the Veterans Legacy Project has chosen to give special recognition to the men and women who gave so much during what is often referred to as the "forgotten war." July 27, 2003 marked the 50th anniversary of the signing of the armistice which officially ended hostilities on the Korean peninsula. As in past years, many schools and a dozen bands from throughout the county will march alongside numerous veteran and community groups and State Street businesses will display the hundreds of posters and essays received from schools as part of the annual contests.
