Police activity in the Dunwoody and Sandy Springs area caused officials to put four Fulton County schools into lockdown mode Friday afternoon.
The police activity is the result of the search for a man wanted for questioning in the murders of two real estate agents in Powder Springs.
The schools in lockdown were identified as:
- Dunwoody Springs Elementary
- Woodland Elementary
- North Springs High School
- Sandy Springs Middle School
The lockdown means students will be kept inside their classrooms and people entering the schools will be closely monitored.
A manhunt continued for Stacey Humphreys after he fled police who tried to capture him at his grandmother's home in DeKalb County Friday morning. Humphreys fled the scene on foot and was then spotted entering a light-colored Toyota Camry.
Humphreys is considered armed and dangerous.
