I read that quote. I'm glad she's giving credit where it's due. However, I also read this quote, which is exactly the quote I reacted to.
"They used me as a way to symbolize all this stuff," Lynch said in an interview with Diane Sawyer that airs Tuesday, Veterans Day.
"Yeah, it's wrong," Lynch said. "I don't know why they filmed it, or why they say the things" they said.
Now, if she has been misquoted, or if the media truly twisted her words out of context, then I'll apologize. But I'm assuming the quote is correct, and I don't like it one bit.
She said they used her to symbolize that stuff. No big deal. In the second one since she also said "or why they say those things", she was referring to the Rambo story, so that means to me that the first was a humble statement instead of a whining statement, that the heros were the ones that rescued her. I think you guys are overreacting big time to a couple of pretty harmless statements.
