I'm sure Jessica will forgive all as soon as the royalties from the book and movie rights start coming in and she has swallowed a Mydol tablet or two.

Are you angry that other service people have written books?

"Are you angry that other service people have written books?"

Hardly. As a retired USAF Veteran, I am happy to see some good things coming to our veterans, especially those who have suffered as Jessica has. I have supported her on many posts, but lately as we are finally beginning to hear from her in her own words, she seems to be out to disrespect, disdain and/or ignore every person and entity that had any part in rescuing her at the risk of their own lives.

She is accusing the Army of using her. Being used by your employer, whether civilian or military, is understood by most rational people as the reason you are recieving pay, benefits and a promise of an eventual retirement package. Just a smidgen of appreciation toward those who assisted in bringing her home, would seem appropriate.

Jessica suffered in captivity, in terrible ways, but she wasn't drafted into a position to wind up a captive, she joined the Army as was her right to do and of her own free will. She has only her self to blame for the things she has been through.

I am thankful she is home and that her wounds are healing. But if she is a soldier too, as she says, she needs to start behaving like one. Soldiers cry, but soldiers don't whine.
