Well, I have tried to ditch the Jessica threads many times, but I just can't let the dogs chew on her.

She is on our damn side.

I don't fault the Pentagon for letting stand a good propaganda story, the war is a political animal they have to sell. Hers was a pretty face to sell it with when the PR out there needed a boost. We did need the morale boost we got from this story.

I also wouldn't expect anything but humility from Jessica. I have never heard anyone say "I am a hero". All the best heros are humble and deny it.

She never asked for any of this. Now that she is the 'media darling' she will be torn down by the same media that has built her into something that she never was. I don't fault Private Lynch. I fault the media. I am more appalled by the fact that they will use her and throw her away and she doesn't even see it coming.
