Vietnam, Afghanistan, Black Hawk Down. When is the Army going to learn that low flying helicopters can only be flown in a benign environment. Helicopters are sitting ducks -- we knew that in Vietnam (duh!!!), it took the Russians 10 years to learn it before they went home with their tails dragging, and now the US Army is trying to be brave while ignoring the obvious. D-U-M-B, that's the only way to describe the leadership in the US Army regarding use of helicopters.
